Im currently on a very recent 17″MBP and wanted the larger size for better ‘viewing and editing’ – IE: photos look less in focus on the larger screen – a 15″ hides the sharpness more, the 27″ shows it painfully obviously.
Im wondering if the higher res on a smaller screen would be better or worse for this. Im a screen resoluion whore, or was till apple knocked them out of the park. So now i need to decide if the 17″ with its lower resolution is worth holding on to, or waiting for a retina screen of the 17 ;)

Apple’s response to this is that “text that uses Apple’s API should look fine”. Google is already aware of and working to address it. The current developer version of Chrome uses the Apple API to render text so I would expect to see a resolution soon. I don’t know about Firefox and IE though.

beside that… i have the mac book pro retina at work and it´s stressing for my eyes.. everything is so tiny. the resolution is to big for the screen … in my opinion.
